Sushi dinner with Masa, Rene, Roberto and his wife Patrizia.
Five o'clock, on the subway to the Tsukiji fish market.
We entered the market and the first load of deep frozen bluefin tuna passed by.
Here some more bluefins ready for the auction.
Taking away the sold tunas.
Auction in progress.
Once sold the buyers name is written on the fish.
A bunch of fresh tunas.
Fresh tuna tails.
Beautiful tuna steaks.
Cutting up the tuna.
Tuna being cut up.
Besides tuna you find anything else that has ever lived in the sea. The clams on the right are about 50 cm large.
Roberto observing the cutting up of a tuna.
At 9 o'clock a sushi breakfast at one of the many sushi bars around the market. Never had a better sushi in my live.
At the market I bought a sashimi knife. Although already extremely sharp, the guy started to sharpen it for half an hour.
