Alice Fact Finding Mission, March 2005.

Arrival in NY from Paris. We start our mission at BNL in Brookhaven, Long Island.

Monday afternoon, Fed gives a presentation to STAR and Phenix on ALICE computing.

I join Larry on a visit of the old BNL AGS (Alternating Gradient Synchrotron) accelerator. It is a high radiation facility so numerous forms have to be filled out.

Larry is trying to find a proper location for his NASA experiment.

This is a proper place to put a couple of Houston grad students for the summer.

On the way back to JFK, Fed is online via his GSM modem trying to guide us to a CompUSA for some gadget scouting.

After more than 4 hours delay, we arrive around 23:00 in Chicago O'Hare for our visit to Fermilab.

After the long trip a nightly dinner in a Denny's. Karel is being drowned in 4 refills of 7'UP.

We started with some light cheese nachos.

Followed by a small double cheese.
